Join Our Team as a Child Watch Attendant (Part-Time)

We’re currently seeking a caring, energetic, and responsible individual to join our team as a Part-Time Child Watch Attendant. If you love working with kids and want to make a difference in their lives in a fun and supportive environment, we’d love to meet you!

What You’ll Do

As a Child Watch Attendant, you’ll help create a safe, playful, and engaging environment for children while their parents or guardians use our YMCA facilities. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing active supervision and engagement with children at all times
  
• Ensuring the safety and well-being of each child
  
• Leading and supporting creative and age-appropriate activities
  
• Playing games, reading, and interacting with children in a nurturing way
  
• Assisting with diaper changes and general childcare needs
  

Schedule Options

• Monday-Friday: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  
• Monday-Friday: 4:00 PM - 7:30 PM
  

What We’re Looking For

• Must be at least 18 years of age
  
• Experience working with children (Child Watch or similar setting preferred)
  
• CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
  
• Ability to meet local background check and fingerprinting requirements
  
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with families
  
• Commitment to YMCA values and diversity, equity, and inclusion
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, and move for extended periods
  
• Must be able to engage in active play with children
  
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
  
• Visual acuity to maintain full supervision of children
