Title: Preschool Teacher's Assistant
- Assist the Preschool Lead Teacher in implementing the daily schedule, including group activities, playtime, and rest periods.
- Support curriculum delivery in language, math, art, and social skills development.
- Help organize classroom materials and maintain a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment.
- Provide individualized support to children, encouraging participation and adherence to routines.
- Foster positive social interactions and model respectful communication and conflict resolution.
- Supervise children during activities to ensure safety and well-being.
- Assist with daily tasks such as snack preparation and other routines.
- Collaborate with the Lead Teacher on assessing children's development and creating individualized learning plans.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
- Commitment to the mission and values of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northern Rhode Island.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a busy environment.
- Ability to build positive, nurturing relationships with children, families, and staff.
- Team-oriented, flexible, and cooperative approach to work.
- Must be 18+ and have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Paraprofessional/Teacher Assistant certification preferred
- Must be or become certified in CPR, First Aid, and AED
- Successfully pass all BCI requirements
- No prior experience required; training provided
