Aquarelle Kids Academy is currently seeking a

highly motivated and passionate Lead Preschool Teacher to join our team in the 2-year-old classroom at our Clermont location. We are a nationally accredited childcare center committed to providing a nurturing and enriching environment for young children.


Position Details:


  • Job Type: Full-Time
  • Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour (based on education and experience)
  • Work Schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (1-hour break)
  • Location: On-site at Aquarelle Kids Academy - Clermont, FL


Minimum Requirements:


  • High school diploma required; associate�s or bachelor�s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
  • Completion of the 45-hour DCF Childcare Training (CDA or Staff Credential preferred)
  • Ability to pass a Level 2 background screening
  • Experience working with young children in a preschool or daycare setting
  • CPR and First Aid certification (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible, dependable, and enthusiastic
  • Strong team player with a love for early childhood education

Primary Responsibilities:


As the lead teacher for our 2-year-old classroom, your role is essential in supporting the early development of our toddlers through structured learning, nurturing care, and active engagement.


Duties include but are not limited to:


  • Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
  • Foster a warm, safe, and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
  • Provide consistent supervision and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times
  • Support toddlers in daily routines such as diapering, toilet training, handwashing, mealtime, and naptime
  • Observe and assess developmental milestones, and communicate progress with parents regularly
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment in compliance with health and safety standards
  • Use positive guidance techniques to support behavior management and conflict resolution
  • Establish and maintain professional and respectful communication with parents, coworkers, and administrators
  • Collaborate with assistant teachers and other staff to ensure a smooth classroom operation
  • Attend staff meetings, in-service training, and professional development opportunities
  • Follow all licensing regulations and Aquarelle Kids Academy policies and procedures
