The Teacher Assistant works with children ages 8 weeks - 5 years. The Teacher Assistant will help the lead Teachers with daily lesson plans and other teaching materials as needed. Teachers maintain safe supervision and sanitary practices at all times and promote the development of children according to childcare licensing standards, as well as the standards of the BGCKP Childcare Center.
- Provide attentive care to children in a safe and compassionate manner
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to stimulate the children's physical, emotional, and intellectual growth
- Maintain a clean and organized childcare environment
- Monitor children's behavior and communicate effectively with parents or guardians
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care
- Follow all health and safety protocols
Skills:
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:
- Experience in toddler care, early childhood education, or related fields
- Knowledge of childhood development principles
- Ability to manage a classroom setting effectively
- Previous experience in babysitting or nannying roles
- Strong caregiving skills with a focus on creating a supportive environment for children
- First aid certification is a plus
