Position Summary


We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical and plumbing design projects from concept through completion. This role involves technical leadership, project management, and team mentorship within a dynamic and growing engineering environment. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in MEP design and a strong commitment to sustainable, high-performance building systems.


Key Responsibilities


  • Serve as Engineer of Record for mechanical and plumbing disciplines.
  • Lead MEP design teams through all project phases, ensuring technical excellence and adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Design and develop HVAC and plumbing systems with a focus on energy efficiency and sustainability.
  • Perform and verify load calculations and system sizing.
  • Oversee construction administration tasks, including submittal reviews, RFIs, and site observations.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and staffing plans.
  • Conduct and lead design and construction meetings.
  • Mentor junior engineers and assign tasks to design staff.
  • Support performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
  • Prepare and manage contracts, fee proposals, and negotiations.
  • Collaborate with business development teams to support client relationships and repeat business.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.


Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor�s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Active Professional Engineering (PE) license, or ability to obtain licensure in Texas.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in MEP design, including work in municipal, aviation, healthcare, education, and commercial sectors.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a licensed PE.
  • 7+ years of experience managing MEP design projects.
  • 3+ years of project management and supervisory experience.
  • Strong decision-making, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in English.

Pay: $115,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
