Job Overview

The Spa Manager at Westglow Luxury Resort & Spa is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, driving revenue, and maintaining the highest service standards. This role requires strong leadership, business acumen, and extensive experiencing managing luxury spa and salon environments within a hotel setting.


Responsibilities


  • Oversee daily operations of the salon and spa to ensure optimal workflow and service standards.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop team members to achieve high performance and enhance customer satisfaction through thorough training.
  • Utilize Point of Sale (POS) systems for efficient transaction processing and reporting.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Conduct regular administrative tasks including scheduling, budgeting, and reporting to upper management.
  • Implement and maintain operational policies and procedures for efficiency and consistent service quality.
  • Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Oversee inventory control for retail and professional products, ensuring accurate ordering and cost management.
  • Coordinate with other resort departments (housekeeping, maintenance, concierge, restaurant, etc.) for facility upkeep and service alignment.
  • Oversee and coordinate remodel projects and general maintenance throughout the facility.


Team Leadership


  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of spa therapists, salon stylists, estheticians, nail technicians, and support staff.
  • Recruit, hire, and train staff to ensure high levels of professionalism and customer service.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide coaching, and implement growth and development plans.
  • Create ongoing training programs focused on technical skills, customer service, and retail sales.
  • Foster staff growth into team leads and management roles as needed for business expansion.


Marketing and Sales


  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create campaigns that cross-promote services, treatments, events, and specials.
  • Develop and oversee monthly specials, packages, and seasonal promotions to attract new and returning guests.
  • Plan and execute in-house events and promotions to drive business.
  • Build relationships with local businesses and tourism organizations to enhance visibility and drive traffic.


Requirements


  • 5+ years of management experience in a luxury spa, salon, or hospitality environment.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in managing budgets, revenue forecasting, and P&L statements.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and customer satisfaction in a high-end setting.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and lead a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with guests and staff.
  • Knowledge of spa/salon-specific software and booking systems.
  • Familiarity with wellness, beauty, and hospitality industry trends and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership qualities with a focus on team development and motivation.
