Thrive With Us and find your career and purpose!This position has Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) Field Program administrative responsibility for the state-wide engagement unit. This position exercises line authority for determining and providing direct consumer services through several VR Counselors located across the state. This position assists in the management of field service activities and resources. Primary responsibilities involve state-wide implementation of the engagement unit, ensuring that we are consistent in providing in-depth counseling strength-based initial interviews to all applicants, following up on the requests for necessary records to determine eligibility as soon as possible but less than 60 days, completes a comprehensive assessment to determine the nature and severity of disabilities and resulting functional limitations, and to ensure that the consumer is connected with the next process of IPE development. This position will also supervise activities to reengage consumers. This is a state-wide position and will require travel to the service center of the different regions.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:* One year of experience in planning, organizing and directing the work of a department, program or agency. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.Veterans' Preference Eligible (VPE): Former military personnel or their spouse that have been verified as a "veteran"; under K.S.A. 73-201 will receive an interview if they meet the minimum competency factors of the position.
