We seek a Program Planning level 4 Manager to join our team in support of the Global Security mission segment. As our Program Planning Manager you will be responsible for leading a team of 5-6 Planners ensuring the development and execution of comprehensive plans to meet program objectives. This role requires a strong understanding of program management principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Summary of Key Duties: In this role you will....

• Develop and maintain comprehensive program plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
  
• Lead the program planning team in the development of detailed plans, including Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Organizational Breakdown Structures (OBS), and Resource Breakdown Structures (RBS)
  
• Collaborate with program stakeholders to ensure plans align with program objectives and customer requirements
  
• Conduct risk management and mitigation planning to ensure program success
  
• Develop and maintain program management artifacts, including program schedules, budgets, and status reports
  
• Provide program planning support to program managers, including development of program management plans, schedules, and budgets
  
• Ensure compliance with Lockheed Martin policies, procedures, and standards
  
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and partners
  
• Lead and participate in program reviews, including Program Management Reviews (PMRs) and Earned Value Management (EVM) reviews.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Engineering, Business, Operations Research)
  
• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in program planning, scheduling, and control, preferably in the aerospace or defense industry
  
• Strong knowledge of program management principles, practices, and tools, including:
  

• Integrated program planning and scheduling
  

• Earned value management (EVM)
  

• Program risk management
  

• Program budgeting and cost control
  
• Experience with program management software tools, such as OpenPlan and MS Project
  
• Must be a United States citizen
  
• Must have an active Top Secret clearance to be considered and be able to obtain a TS/SCI
  

Desired Skills:

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to:
  

• Develop and deliver program planning and scheduling training to program teams
  

• Communicate program plans, schedules, and status to program stakeholders
  
• Advanced technical knowledge of program planning tools and techniques, including:

• Expert-level analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to:
  

• Analyze complex program data and develop effective solutions

• Experience with mentoring and coaching
  

• Ability to develop and implement training plans
  

• Strong communication and collaboration skills
  
• Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills
  
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with program stakeholders
  
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze complex program data and develop effective solutions

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $95,000 - $167,440. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
