Pharmacy Technician Instructor Job Summary


Northwest Career College is currently seeking a Pharmacy Technician Instructor who must have at least three years of work experience in a pharmacy setting as a licensed Pharmacy Technician or pharmacist.


Pharmacy Technician Instructor Roles and Responsibilities* Teach pharmacy technician courses according to the lesson plan and syllabus and as directed by the program supervisor.
  • Assist students with difficult concepts in tutoring sessions.
  • Grade student lab activities and practical examinations.
  • Maintain a daily record of student attendance.
  • Attend faculty meetings, in-service meetings, graduation ceremonies, and other events as required by the College
  • Dress professionally in accordance with faculty dress code
  • Communicate effectively with diverse populations, both verbally and in writing
  • Perform miscellaneous administrative tasks and job-related duties as assigned.


Experience* REQUIRED: 3+ years of non-overlapping experience in the pharmacy field
  • PREFERRED: 1+ years of experience in a hospital pharmacy setting


Skills and Qualifications* Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply relevant current education methodologies and techniques


License/Certification* REQUIRED: Current Pharmaceutical Technician License, Intern Pharmacist License, or Pharmacist License.
  • REQUIRED: PTCE [PTCB CPhT Certification] (within 75 days)


Education* REQUIRED: high school diploma or equivalent


Job Type* Full-Time


Schedule (daytime hours required)* Monday: 8 am - 7 pm
  • Tuesday: 8 am - 7 pm
  • Wednesday: 8 am - 7 pm
  • Thursday: 8 am - 7 pm
  • Friday-Sunday: Off


Salary* $48,000-$49,000 Annually (Based on prior education and experience)
