Per Diem Linen Service Worker- Linen Irvine-Variable Shift

Responsibilities:

Position Summary:Incumbent orders, receives, distributes, and delivers linen supplies. Checks, sorts, marks, folds, wraps, packs and distributes linen. Cleans, and organizes the work areas. Picks up soiled linen from departments. Creates and maintains appropriate inventory documentation. Performs physical inventory counts.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• Position is subject to the California DMV's "Pull Notice System" and continued employment is contingent upon proof of a satisfactory driving record.
  
• Must possess and maintain a valid California driver�s license
  
• Must be available to work overtime, weekends, and a rotating schedule to meet operational needs
  
• Must be able to perform heavy manual tasks
  
• Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations
  
• Must be able to effectively communicate, read, write and follow verbal and written instructions in English
  
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of hospital MMIS system
  

• Knowledge of UCI policies and procedures
  

• Inventory management experience in a hospital, clinic or similar environment
