Pension Specialist


Established NYC Third Party Administration Firm representing various union retirement plans is seeking a highly motivated individual to work in a high volume pension department.


Must posses 2 plus years working in pension administration, preferably in a Union environment and must full understanding on how pension plans operate. Experience is a must and must be fluent in Spanish.


This position is in office with 1 day remote.


The Job


Seeking

“Pension Specialist" for our growing Midtown New York City office.


Using your outgoing personality and strong analytical skills you will assist Members with questions about their pension plans, explaining policies and benefits to them in easy to understand terms as well as assisting the Pension Manager and Coordinators.


The Daily


  • Assist members with pension information in a confidential professional manner
  • Handle high-volume member phone calls regarding, pension inquiries and administrative duties in a pleasant and professional manner.
  • Review and process member records, including legal documentation, account numbers, addresses, beneficiary designation, benefit selections.
  • Meet with members to guide them through the retirement fulfillment process, answer eligibility, pension, and health benefits questions and assist in completion of documents
  • Knowledge of pension calculations and application process a must.


The Requirements


  • Minimum 2+ years of in a pension fund environment.
  • Retirement/Pension planning experience is required.
  • Fluent in Spanish.
  • Associates Degree or higher
  • Proficient PC skills, including Excel, Outlook and MS Word a MUST.
  • Clear and effective oral and written communication skills; ability to explain and confirm understanding of complex issues.
  • Strong attention to detail, a high level of accuracy required.
  • Ability to wear multiple hats and other ad hoc projects.
  • Please provide your required salary range with your response. Salary Commensurate with experience. Company offers medical plan with HSA, paid time off, sick and pension plan.


Job Type: Full-time


Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
