This is made possible by being home to the largest robotic surgery center in the Northeast and the Center for Education, Simulation and Innovation (CESI), one of the most-advanced medical simulation training centers in the world. When hospitals cannot provide the advanced care, expertise and new treatment options their patients require, they turn to us.

Our brand NEW Emergency Department-based Observation Unit at Hartford Hospital is a fast-paced, 20 bed unit devoted to the management of patients requiring observation status. Our team of Registered Nurses, Providers, Techs, administrative professionals and support staff is dedicated specifically to this unit, where we continue to provide safe, personalized, compassionate care to all our patients. This unit’s focus is on the provision of care to patients requiring a period of Observation before a medical decision can be made regarding patient admission vs. discharge. All rooms are equipped with new, state of the art technology to support even the most acute of patients.
