The Donor Relations Officer is responsible for securing funds for Wheeler Mission by managing a group of assigned mid-level donors (400-700) assuring donor retention at or above previous year giving to the organization and a deepened level of engagement with the mission. The primary focus for the role is to move potential and current donors through Wheeler Mission’s engagement pipeline and will combine administrative and personal contact to build relationships. The Donor Relations Officer should spend
25% of their time meeting and being in direct contact with prospective and current donors and 75% performing administrative connections with prospective and current donors via various communication platforms. The Donor Relations Officer develops an authentic relationship that follows a general guideline for best practices of communication with each donor in the assigned portfolio. These practices will allow the Donor Relations Officer to discover donor interests and align those interests with organizational priorities to help donors accomplish their philanthropic goals and ambitions in partnership with Wheeler Mission.This position has no direct reports.
