environment for individuals seeking high-quality mental health services. As we grow, we’re looking for a dependable, personable, and detail-oriented Part-Time Medical Receptionist to join our front office team.


Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional administrative support in a fast-paced medical environment. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of medical terminology and office procedures. The Medical Receptionist will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere while efficiently managing front desk operations. This is a part-time position for Mondays and Wednesdays, with Saturdays to be added as the clinic expands.


Responsibilities


  • Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Manage patient scheduling, including appointments and follow-ups, utilizing EHR systems.
  • Handle patient inquiries and provide information regarding services offered.
  • Perform insurance verification, collect payments, and assist with medical billing processes.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Process medical collections and manage patient accounts effectively.
  • Utilize CPT coding, ICD-9, and ICD-10 for accurate billing and record-keeping.
  • Review care plans and assist healthcare providers with administrative tasks as needed.
  • Operate multi-line phone systems to manage incoming calls efficiently.
  • Assist with filing, clerical tasks, and general office management duties.


Qualifications


  • Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role within a medical office or clinic setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with any EHR systems is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, coding (ICD coding), and documentation review practices.
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to enhance patient communication.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to health information management standards.
  • Punctual and able to manage a consistent schedule with minimal supervision.
