We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office by providing administrative support and assisting with patient care. Duties


  • Manage patient scheduling and appointment confirmations, ensuring efficient use of office time.
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of patient care plans.
  • Handle incoming phone calls and inquiries using multi-line phone systems, providing excellent customer service.
  • Support medical coding processes, including familiarity with ICD-10 codes for accurate billing and documentation.
  • Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
  • Perform general office management tasks such as filing, data entry, and inventory management for office supplies.
  • Collaborate with dental receptionists to coordinate patient referrals and ensure seamless communication between departments.
  • Assist in managing Medicare-related documentation and processes as needed.


Requirements


  • Previous experience in a medical or dental office setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with care plans and medical coding practices is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in using office systems and software for scheduling, billing, and record keeping.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with patients and staff.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude while working collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Knowledge of dental office operations is a plus but not mandatory.
