Rider University invites applications for a Manager of Maintenance & Mechanical Operations who will plan, coordinate and manage the mechanical activities including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire safety, and campus infrastructure. The individual will also:

• Manage various contracts related to the daily operation;
  
• Use work order software and Microsoft Office Suite, to plan, monitor and evaluate assignments and the completion of work; and
  
• Maintain an accurate inventory of mechanical and non-mechanical needs and assist in planning for mechanical repairs, replacements and upgrades.

• 10+ years of demonstrated mechanical and building maintenance experience in planning and supervision of systems in a higher education environment.
  
• 5-7 years of supervisor experience in mechanical, electrical or plumbing.
  
• Problem solving and critical thinking in time sensitive situations.
  
• Long and short term planning skills for mechanical systems.
  
• Experience in building preventive maintenance schedules.
  
• Experience in maintaining life safety devices.
  
• Valid driver�s license and satisfactory driving record.
  
• The successful candidate for this position will be subject to a pre-employment background check.

• Bachelor�s degree in a related field.
  
• Strong analytical skills.
  
• Ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel.
  
• Experience in School Dude work order system management.
  
• Working knowledge of building codes in the mechanical, electrical and plumbing areas.
