LifePoint Church is a growing body of believers who are experiencing life transformation on many levels. People are getting baptized, growing in their faith, and being discipled as the church has grown by over 30% in 2025. We’re currently averaging over 600 in attendance between our 3 Sunday morning gatherings, and we are grateful for the diversity in ages and backgrounds of those who call LifePoint “home.†As we continue to move forward into the future God has for us, we look forward to seeing who God has prepared to lead, equip, and challenge our kids to become passionate followers of Jesus!

Our Lead Pastor, Nathan Sanders, is a graduate of Wesley College and has been serving in this position since 2007. Kellen Owenby, our Worship Pastor, is a graduate of the University of Georgia and has been at LifePoint Church since 2012. Avery Varnell, our Family Pastor, is a graduate of Dallas Baptist University and has been on staff since 2018. Our most recent hire is Abraham Carrillo who was hired as our Student Pastor in 2024. Moving forward as a church, we constantly strive for excellence in all ministries and seek those who desire to be a part of this movement of God.

About the Role

LifePoint Church is seeking a Kids Pastor to lead a thriving, growing children’s ministry (Birth-5th Grade). This ministry is not in need of a rebuild-it’s ready for the next level.

We are seeking a highly motivated, healthy leader who is ready to jump into a fast-paced and quickly growing church; someone who isn’t afraid to face new challenges and problem solve as we continue to reach more and more kids and families with the Good News of Jesus.

With an average weekly attendance of 158 (children + volunteers), a dedicated volunteer team of 70 adults, and an average growth rate of 19.25% per year over the past 3 years, LifePoint Kids is a dynamic ministry environment with a lot of momentum.

This position oversees all kids programming across three, soon to be four, Sunday morning gatherings, term-based Wednesday night groups, and major events like Kids Summer Camp and WILD WEEK-LifePoint’s unique, high-energy version of VBS. The Kids Pastor will work closely with the Kids Ministry Volunteer Coordinator, who supports volunteer scheduling, curriculum preparation, and administrative systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Ministry Oversight

· Provide vision, structure, and leadership for all LifePoint Kids environments (Birth-5th Grade).

· Ensure weekly programming is biblically sound, engaging, and aligned with LifePoint’s mission.

· Lead a growing ministry that can scale as church attendance and gathering offerings expand.

2. Team Leadership & Development

· Shepherd, empower, and equip the 70+ member volunteer team.

· Work closely with the Kids Ministry Volunteer Coordinator to maintain healthy scheduling, volunteer communication, onboarding, and preparation.

· Identify and invest in volunteer leaders who can carry vision and lead teams effectively.

3. Program & Event Execution

· Oversee all LifePoint Kids programming during Sunday morning gatherings (currently 3, moving to 4).

· Lead and support term-based Wednesday night groups for kids.

· Direct Kids Summer Camp and WILD WEEK (our church’s custom-designed version of VBS).

· Ensure excellence in teaching, worship, creative elements, and group time.

4. Systems, Safety, & Administration

· Maintain a high standard of safety and security across all age groups and gathering times.

· Ensure smooth check-in/check-out processes, room transitions, and volunteer coverage.

· Manage the kids ministry budget with strategic planning and responsible stewardship.

· Oversee curriculum selection, prep, and distribution alongside the Volunteer Coordinator.

Spiritual & Personal

· A growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

· Ministry at a growing church isn’t easy. We want a candidate who is personally, relationally, and spiritually healthy.

Professional Experience

· 3+ years in a leadership role in a growing children’s ministry.

· Proven ability to manage people, systems, and multiple environments.

· Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

· Experience working in a multi-gathering, team-based church environment is preferred.

Education & Biblical Training

· Some formal biblical education or ministry training (degree not required).

· May include coursework from a Christian university, seminary, Bible college, or certification from a reputable ministry training program.

· Must be able to teach and lead others with biblical clarity and confidence.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
