The California Court of Appeal, First Appellate District, located in San Francisco, is accepting applications for several full-time regular Judicial Secretary I, Judicial Secretary II, or Judicial Assistant positions in Central Staff. The starting salary and classification will be commensurate with the qualifications of the selected individuals.
Under the supervision of the Managing Attorney, the individuals in this position will provide a variety of administrative, paralegal, and legal secretarial support services to a specified appellate court justice and the justice’s research attorneys. Applicants invited to an interview will be required to complete a timed, in-house assessment.
The successful candidates are expected to work at the court in San Francisco. Remote work options for part of the workweek may be considered.

Please note due to statewide fiscal conditions, the posted salary range is subject to a temporary 3% reduction. In exchange for this reduction, judicial branch employees accrue an additional 5 hours of paid personal leave per month through June 30, 2027.
