We are searching for someone who will have at least 3+ years of experience managing information technology (IT) projects, with an emphasis on web based application development projects. This position will manage the development and implementation of IT projects that have both agency and state-wide impact and have significant complexity. You will develop requirements, identify stakeholders and their needs; build and define project plans; establish staffing, resources and management support; establish the project's critical path, resource loading, and leveling; estimate project costs and time requirements; manage change and keep the project on course and schedule; follow established PMO processes; monitor work progress; and maintain on-going status reporting. The chosen candidate will insure the hardware and software meet the agency's security requirements; create and coordinate testing plans, including accessibility testing.

This position is currently a hybrid of both in-office (2 days a week required in office and any mandatory in office meetings) and remote work days (work must be performed in Utah). Responsibilities

Primary Duties (This is not an all-inclusive list.)* Manage projects through the entire project life cycle.
  • Facilitate meetings which include stakeholders from multiple levels and functions.
  • Work closely with the customer to capture product requirements/user stories.
  • Create and maintain project documentation throughout the entire project.
  • Maintain on-going status reports of projects.
  • Monitor project budget including expenditures and projections.
  • Meet and confer with management, users, and contract providers to resolve problems and coordinate services.
  • Actively contribute to problem resolutions; approves system changes and establishes project priorities.
  • Coordinates projects and ensures adequate administrative controls, quality, and procedural efficiencies.
  • Sets goals, establishes priorities, manages resources, develops concepts and approaches, reviews projects progress and results; makes project management decisions.
  • Provides technical assistance on agency issues, services, program(s), and/or computer hardware and software, etc.
  • Other tasks as assigned.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications* Excellent customer service skills

  • Manage projects through the SDLC
  • Manage costs of resources and budget of projects
  • Speak clearly, concisely and effectively; listen to, and understand, information and ideas as presented verbally
  • Communicate information and ideas clearly, and concisely, in writing; read and understand information presented in writing
  • Coordinate the tasks of people, groups and/or organization(s)
  • 3+ years IT Project management experience
  • Principles, theories and practices of meeting management; quality management; diversity management; conflict management; project management and administrative management
  • SAFe Methodology experience preferred
