As our
HR Specialist, you’ll be a key player in supporting the Human Resources department across recruitment, onboarding, compliance, and employee engagement. This is a hands-on role that helps keep our HR operations running smoothly while enhancing the employee experience in a fast-paced behavioral health environment.Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle recruitment: job postings, applicant screening, and interview coordination
- Facilitate onboarding and orientation for new hires
- Maintain accurate and compliant employee records in our HRIS and physical files
- Assist with benefits enrollment and respond to employee inquiries
- Support compliance with policies, laws, and licensing requirements
- Track training, certification, and licensure renewals
- Coordinate internal communications and staff engagement activities
- Provide administrative support to the HR team
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor�s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
- 1+ year of experience in an HR or administrative role (healthcare/behavioral health preferred)
- Strong understanding of HR laws, regulations, and best practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with BambooHR a plus
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-turnover environment
Preferred Skills:
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification (or ability to obtain within 2 years)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- A passion for people, employee service, and cultivating positive workplace culture
