Job Summary:

The Home Care Recruiter plays a critical role in attracting and hiring compassionate, qualified Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Homemakers to support the mission and staffing needs of PACE-RI’s Home Care program. This individual must be proactive, community-focused, and driven to execute creative recruitment strategies that connect with local talent. Under the direction of the HR Manager, the Home Care Recruiter is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process including sourcing, screening, scheduling interviews, extending employment offers, and ensuring smooth onboarding and orientation for new hires. The ideal candidate will thrive in the community-attending job fairs, building relationships with workforce agencies, and implementing a marketing plan to attract qualified candidates.


In addition to recruiting responsibilities, the Home Care Recruiter will be tasked with assisting with administrative functions in the HR department.


Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Researches, develops, and implements effective recruiting strategies to continually attract a pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization�s home care department.
  • Partners with the Home Care Manager, Scheduler and Sr Director of Nursing & Home Care to understand hiring needs and job specifications.
  • Oversees preparation of interview questions, assists the Home Care Manager with identifying interview team members and ensures interviewing staff are trained on interviewing skills and appropriate questions.
  • Actively seeks out talent from various channels, including job boards, tech school career fairs, CNA training schools, and other like sources.
  • Builds relationships with CNA schools to enhance recruitment pipelines.
  • Attends networking events that foster relationships with community partners to build talent pipelines.
  • Implements and maintains a system to track and analyze recruitment metrics to assess the effectiveness of recruitment efforts and identify areas for improvement.
  • Publishes, posts, and maintains job ads in accordance with departmental procedures as necessary.
  • Screens candidate applications for targeted recruitment efforts and coordinates and confirms interviews as warranted.
  • Checks candidate references prior to offer or onboarding.
  • Updates tracking and communication tools including the HR Update and Recruitment Tracking Grids in live time.
  • Works with the HR Team and hiring managers to successfully onboard and orient new employees to PACE-RI. Ensures and compiles stock of orientation binders for new hires.
  • Uses new hire onboarding checklist to ensure consistency across all departmental disciplines to welcome new staff to PACE-RI.
  • Tracks orientation paperwork for home care hires to ensure requirements and deadlines are met.
  • Acts as the backup facilitator to new employee orientation. As needed, ensures all required components have been included and materials have been distributed.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge on all laws, regulations, and internal policies related to recruitment.
  • Assists with employee file maintenance as necessary and according to established EE Table of Contents.
  • Tracks and ensures that Initial & Annual Competencies are completed and documented. Sends reminders in a timely manner to ensure compliance deadlines are met. Informs HR Management in a timely manner of any concerns relative to meeting compliance deadlines.
  • Sends regular reminders of upcoming evaluations; informs HR Management of missed targets:
  • Sends regular reminders to managers and tracks 90 Day New Hire Evaluations.
  • Sends regular reminders to managers and tracks Annual Performance Evaluations.
  • Tracks employee required licenses; notifies employees of upcoming renewals. Informs supervisors and HR Management of any issues concerning renewal of staff licensure.
  • Assists with HR and Education related administrative tasks as needed and assigned by.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.


Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree, Preferred

1 to 3 Years of Administrative Assistant experience, Preferred

1 to 3 Years of Recruitment experience, Preferred

1 to 3 years of HR experience, Preferred

1 to 3 Years of ADP experience, Preferred

1 to 3 years of experience within a health care organization, Preferred

1 year of experience working with a frail or elderly population, Preferred

Fluency in Spanish, Preferred

SHRM-CP or similar, Preferred

Driver's License & access to reliable transportation: community-based travel required
