Job Overview:


Aloha. We are seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to our Wild Ginger Hotel Ohana in Hilo. As the first point of contact for our hotel, you will need to be professional and organized. You will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service to our guests and creating a positive impression of our hotel. This position requires strong communication skills and attention to detail.


Duties:


  • Greet and welcome guests with a friendly and professional demeanor and showcase Hawaiian hospitality. Ensure all interactions with guests are pleasant.


  • Answer phone calls and take bookings for hotel.


  • Be able to do morning shifts and help setup breakfast.


  • Learn and operate hotel booking software and other channels to be able to add and update bookings.


  • Handle credit cards and maintain records of all transactions.


  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area and area around.


  • Should be able to help with housekeeping & Laundry tasks.


  • Be a team player and build a strong work relationship with your colleagues.


  • Provide administrative support to manager as needed.


Requirements:


  • Professional and joyful demeanor with excellent verbal communication skills.


  • Proficiency in data entry systems and learning hotel booking software.


  • Strong attention to detail and handle records and monies without errors.


  • Strong organization and multitasking skills to be able to handle multiple guests at the same time.


  • Honesty and reliability.


  • Previous experience working in a hotel as a receptionist and housekeeper would be a plus.


Job Type: Full-time


Pay: $16.00 - $17.50 per hour
