We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Front/Back Office Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care within our facility, which may include urgent care, outpatient services, or internal medicine settings. This position is essential for ensuring smooth operations and high-quality patient experiences.


Duties


  • Assist healthcare providers in delivering patient care, including taking vital signs and preparing patients for examinations.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patients for any adverse reactions.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in electronic health systems, ensuring all information is up-to-date and compliant with regulations.
  • Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers to address concerns and provide education on treatment plans.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of back office areas, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
  • Participate in training sessions and continuous education to stay current with best practices in patient care and medical procedures.


Qualifications


  • Previous experience in a medical assistant role, particularly in urgent care or outpatient settings, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Level II Trauma Center operations is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of medication administration protocols and patient care standards.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on patient interaction.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and other medical software applications.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent is desirable but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification is encouraged.
