Position Summary


The Detroit Yacht Club is seeking to immediately hire a detail-oriented, highly organized

Part-Time Office Manager to support daily administrative functions and ensure smooth office operations. This individual will serve as a key point of contact for internal communications, support senior leadership with administrative tasks, and maintain efficient office systems.


Key Responsibilities


  • Answer all incoming telephone calls, transfer calls, and relay messages or voicemails as appropriate
  • Organize and distribute interoffice mail; collect outgoing mail for daily pickup
  • Maintain and organize physical and digital files; assist with ongoing filing projects
  • Support bulk mailings, newsletters, and other club-wide communications
  • Provide administrative support for meetings, including scheduling, document preparation, and room setup
  • Assist with Board of Directors correspondence and documentation
  • Contribute to the monthly reporting process by compiling and organizing data
  • Monitor inventory of office supplies, place orders as needed, track deliveries, and store supplies properly
  • Coordinate service and maintenance of office equipment (e.g., copier, postage meter, fax)
  • Support general office organization, workflow, and cleanliness
  • Perform additional administrative duties as assigned to support the management team


Qualifications


  • Previous experience in office administration or office management, preferably in a private club, hospitality, or professional services environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general office equipment
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion
  • Positive attitude and team-first mindset
