Evening Cosmetology Instructor

Bene's Career Academy is a career school in the beauty industry that is family owned and operated. We are a private school that was founded in 1976 specializing in vocational training in cosmetogoly and wellness. Our objective is to provide students with diversified, integrated theory and practical courses based on eight sources selected from the common body of knowledge of Cosmetology, Barber Styling, Restricted Barber, Manicuring - Nail Care, Massage therapy, Facial Skin Care, and Instructor Training.

Our Cosmetology program prepares students to confidently work toward a cosmetology license in Florida by balancing working hours in our salon environment and dedicated classroom time to prepare to sit for the state exam. Cosmetology students acquire skills in sanitation, compliance, and state law and regulations to help them in their future career.

Bene's is looking for an energetic, fun, hair-loving licensed cosmetologist to work as an instructor at our New Port Richey campus in the evening. This shift is Monday through Friday from 5PM-10PM. A Cosmetology Instructor at Bene's is responsible for the following:

• Planning and delivering theory and hands-on lessons
  
• Preparing students to pass the State Board exam
  
• Teaching, mentoring, motivating, and coaching all students on the cosmetology floor
  
• Evaluating student progress
  
• Ensuring compliance with State Board rules
  
• Participate in required administrative duties (including faculty meetings, trainings, and inventory and maintenance needs)
  

The requirements for this position are:

• a current FL Cosmetology or Barber Stylist license
  
• 1 year salon experience
  
• Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills
  
• Basic computer skills
  
• A great attitude and commitment to learn new methods and skills
  
• Prior teaching experience is preferred
