Position Information
This class is the first level in the Enrollment Services series. Incumbents perform information processing for student admissions/enrollment. Responsibilities may include admitting and processing applications for general admission; receiving, organizing, and recording student information; and responding to general questions about enrollment.
High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.), and up to one year of related experience.
Experience with engaging customers through activities such as
social media, event planning, and similar initiatives.

Essential Job Function
These are the job duties that are required of the position.
1. Direct prospective students in the admissions process, which includes completing an online admissions application and submitting the proper documentation. Pull applications into appropriate software systems. Collect and record student information to complete the student’s record, and upload all appropriate documents, performing outreach when necessary. (B2)
2. Verify student status, and ensure all requirements are in place to meet with advisors and enroll in classes. Assign appropriate advising specialists and faculty advisors specific to the major. Direct students in the academic probation and suspension processes by collecting and submitting suspension appeal forms. (B2)
3. Work through the National Student Clearinghouse to process transcript requests, resolve issues related to the prevention of transcript release, and provide education verification. (B2)
4. Provide registration assistance to students and advisors. This includes adding, dropping, and withdrawing students ensuring course prerequisites are met and registration is within appropriate time frames. (B2)
5. Perform general administrative support duties such as answering e-mails, phone calls, filing, and scanning. (A1)
6. Take ID pictures, print student IDs, and maintain the parking pass system. (A1)
7. Verify, update, and maintain student records and process major and personal information changes. Maintain databases to ensure the accuracy of student records. (A1)
8. Provide front-line customer service via email, phone, and in person. Provide students and parents guidance on all aspects of the student experience which may include referrals to different departments. (A1)
9. Perform other related duties of a comparable level/type as assigned.
