The Diagnostic Imaging Department at LBCC offers a specific range of courses, including Positioning, Ethics, Radiation Biology, Protection, Physics, Production and Characteristics, and Patient Care. The Diagnostic Imaging instructor develops, plans, and presents organized lectures, laboratory activities, and out-of-class assignments in accordance with approved course outlines. Instructors may also be assigned to assist other faculty’s courses as secondary lab instructors.
Required Qualifications:
Associate degree and ARRT Registered.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prefer one year of Radiology Technology experience in the field, one-year broad-based teaching experience in a clinical setting, high school, community college, or university setting or
comparable experience.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Work is performed in an office or classroom or lab setting with minimal exposure to safety or health hazards. Working with ionizing imaging equipment is required. May require arm, hand, and finger dexterity to operate a keyboard or other office equipment. Requires sufficient visual acuity to recognize alphanumeric characters. Requires good hearing and well-developed speaking ability to communicate with staff and students. Work is performed indoors with minimal exposure to safety and health hazards.
