Development Technician

Anchorage Community Development Authority (ACDA) - Anchorage, AK

Estimated pay: $25- $30/hr plus benefits


Position Overview:

ACDA (authority) is seeking a development technician to support the authority’s development division. This role plays a key part in assisting the development division’s planning, evolving, and coordinating community project activities to ensure authority obligations are met.


The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills. The development division technician will work with external clients, management, and municipal leaders on obligations. Candidates will be accountable for ensuring incoming/outgoing documents are filed, organized, and responded to in a timely manner.


Development staff will rely on the technical to develop meetings, schedule stakeholders, and keep the division accountable to the authority’s schedule. This will be an essential role of the organization with upward mobility and career development opportunities for proficient candidates. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys organizing complex projects, collaborating across teams, and helping shape the growth of Anchorage.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Schedule and coordinate daily activities to keep projects on track.
  • Ensure necessary procurement of materials, documents, and supplies.
  • Develop/refine efficient processes that maintain quality while keeping costs in line.
  • Quality customer service and stakeholder engagement efforts.
  • Prepare estimates for projects, division costs, and external needs.
  • Oversee packaging and shipping needs for various projects.
  • Assist in assigning work and monitoring quality.
  • Excellent administrative skills
  • Work independently and as a team member


What We’re Looking For:

  • Ability to prioritize, solve problems, and meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable approaching development projects and problem solving
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Office 365 suite).
  • Leadership abilities, team player, and desire to excel.


Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate�s or Bachelor�s degree preferred.
  • Minimum two years� experience in planning, public administrative, or a related field.


Physical Requirements:


  • Primarily office work, sitting/standing at a desk or computer for extended periods.
  • Must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
