Clinical MAR Manager


PEER Services (peerservices.org) is a leading nonprofit provider of community- based substance use prevention and treatment services for Evanston, Maine, New Trier, Niles and Northfield Townships, and the north side of Chicago. The Clinical Manager is a member of the Leadership Team and reports to the Medication Assistance Recovery Director. The Clinical Manager is responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality therapeutic Services. The role blends with clinical supervision and administrative duties, playing a key part in staff development, client care, compliance, and program management. The clinical manager carries a caseload of 25% and can be adjusted based on the needs of the program.

Job Duties


· Provide clinical supervision, case consultations, and support to therapists and counselors.


  • In collaboration with the leadership team, play a key role in the overall development, strategic planning, service delivery, operational and financial management of the agency.
  • Monitor clinical documentation for accuracy, completeness and compliance with licensing and accreditation standards.
  • Provide administrative and clinical leadership and guidance to staff to develop and support the provision of services.
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships with PEER staff.
  • Ensure that therapeutic services align with evidence-based practices and ethical guidelines.
  • Evaluate the need for additional services, staffing, training, and other support to fulfill agency and program needs.
  • Lead clinical meetings, review treatment plans, and oversee crisis intervention procedures.
  • Provide performance feedback and support to staff, and complete staff performance evaluations.
  • Deploy resources efficiently and effectively to meet organizational and program goals, working with staff to balance workload and effort.
  • In collaboration with the MAR Director, identify and develop partner and referral relationships, build and maintain strong working relationships with external partners.
  • Monitor program metrics and outcomes; generate reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Recriut, train and evaluate clinical staff; provide coaching and performance feedback.


· Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement clinical policies, procedures and program improvements.


  • Coordinate staff schedule and ensure adequate coverage for MAR program.


· Participate in strategic planning and development for SUD services.


Compliance & Quality Insurance


  • Ensure adherence to all applicable laws, licensing requirements (e.g., HIPPA, state boards), and ethical standards.
  • Implement and maintain quality assurance programs for client care and clinical operations.
  • Address client concerns and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Facilitate audits, licensure reviews and accreditation processes.


Classification, Compensation, Work Schedule, and Benefits:


· This is a regular, full-time, exempt, 40 hours per week position.


· Compensation is $60K-$76K annually, dependent on experience and qualifications.


· Work hours will be based on the needs of the program and staff availability.

Qualifications


  • Master�s degree in counseling, social work, family therapy, psychology or related field and licensed in Illinois as a Clinical Psychologist, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW.
  • CADC, CMADC or CSADC Certification preferred.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of clinical experience, with at least 2 years of supervisory or managerial experience preferred.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, to set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience managing clinicians at all levels including recent graduates and interns.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Rule 2060.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with billing software, MIS systems and Electronic Health Records.
  • Experience in individual and group therapy modalities.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with The Joint Commission a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical documentation standards and evidence-based treatment approaches.
