POSITION 26A14 TITLE: Athletic Director - Activities Coordinator (25-26)

LOCATION: Moundsville Middle

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Accept the responsibility for the welfare of the students.

2. Attempt to integrate the athletic program with the total school program.

3. Promote positive public relations about the school’s athletic program.

4. Abide by the league, county, state, and federal rules and regulations.

5. Promote cooperation between the junior/senior high and the elementary school programs.

6. Serve as a liaison between supportive organizations and the school.

7. Inventory equipment.

8. Assist in maintaining the school activities digital calendar

9. Must be available during evening hours throughout the year to attend all school activities. Summer activities and hours may be necessary.

10. Provide supervision during assigned duty periods.

11. Provide leadership and support in his/her area of responsibility.

12. Establish and implement an improvement process for his/her area of responsibility.

13. Establish good public and employee relations in his/her area of responsibility.

14. Maintain professional work habits.

15. Maintain and upgrade his/her professional skills

16. Maintain and prepare the fields and playing surfaces.

17. Maintain deposits as needed.

18. Supervise students at sporting events.

19. Interact in a professional manner with the public at school events.

20. Perform other duties as assigned by the principal

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimal qualifications will include an AB degree and valid West Virginia teaching certificate. Would prefer applicant to have a West Virginia Administrative Certificate.

SALARY: Salary to be determined by salary classification level, experience, and education according to schedule at https://boe.mars.k12.wv.us/salary-schedules/.
