Job Description: Sonshine Therapy is seeking a full time (40 hours) Assistant Office Manager (with a bonus structure) in Savannah, GA. The candidate must possess time management, communication, critical thinking, ability to follow directions, and be detailed oriented.


Job Requirements:


  • Provides administrative direction of the daily activities of Operations front desk department including scheduling, adjusting hours and shifts, and work assignments.
  • Ensures adequate staffing by providing support as needed to various front office positions.
  • Insurance verification and authorization
  • Demonstrates a courteous, friendly and professional demeanor while he/she greets and checks in patients, visitors and vendors. Portrays the same demeanor while answering and routing phone calls.
  • Illustrates efficiency regarding patient and doctor inquiries by responding to their needs in a timely manner.
  • Communicates with the billing department to ensure all patient accounts are accurate, and communicates with patient's parents about their invoices as needed. Accepts account payments toward balances.
  • Scans all documents and enters case notes into the practice files accurately and consistently.
  • Works as Front Desk liaison to Clinical Staff.
  • Handles Patient and Customer complaints or directs the patient to the appropriate person.
  • Works Front Desk Representatives as needed.
  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality when servicing patients.
  • Ensures staff are assigned at their work station and ready to start each day to maintain effective clinic flow. Will require Manager to be available and onsite prior to first patient check-in (expected hours 7:45 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)
  • Manages supply inventory and reports supply needs to owners for ordering.
  • Collaborates, with HR in the recruiting, on-boarding process, and training of new hires. Participates in the recruitment of new hires. Interviews job candidates and reviews resumes as needed for Front Office positions. Including maintaining current detailed staff training manuals.
  • Provides daily, weekly, and monthly reports to the Director of Operations/Executive team.
  • Resolves or coordinates maintenance issues and repairs, inputs facility maintenance requests or other facilities-related matters. Inputs any IT requests and facilitates resolution for IT issues for staff.
  • Facilitates, with other management team members, resolution of any administrative problems and keeps lines of communication open, with staff and Director of Operations, to ensure high employee morale and a professional, healthy atmosphere. Interprets and enforces department and institution policies.
  • Provides name badges, basic orientation, and gets students and volunteers over to the Clinical Director for further training.
  • Coordinates the process and schedules depositions or meetings.
  • Supports marketing and promotion initiatives
  • Attends weekly staff, front office, and managers meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned


Job Type: Full-time


Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
