GAI Consultants has a career-building opportunity for an Assistant Engineering Manager within our Power Business Unit’s Civil and Environmental Engineering Business Sector. This position is eligible for GAI’s flexible Hybrid workplace place/Telework Policy. GAI’s Power Business Unit focuses on developing and supporting Energy, Institutional, Industrial, and Manufacturing clients.
As an Assistant Engineering Manager at GAI, you will have the opportunity to manage civil engineering and permitting tasks, delegate and provide direction to engineering/drafting staff, and lead and review the development of calculations, drawings, and associated project deliverables. You also will develop proposals and monitor budgets. Communication skills are essential to this position, as an Assistant Engineering Manager will need to effectively coordinate with internal and external clients as well as their Engineering Division Manager, Business Sector Leader, and other engineering discipline leads (such as mechanical, electrical, process, environmental, and geotechnical engineering).
Physical requirements of this position include hiking moderate distances through unimproved terrain, utility rights-of-way, in remote areas, etc. in various temperatures and weather conditions. There is a potential for hazardous conditions during fieldwork or site visit situations.
