The Utah Attorney General's Office has a vacancy for an Assistant Attorney General to work in the Justice Division. The selected applicant will work in the SECURE/Human Trafficking section. The human trafficking prosecutor works with the SECURE strike force to provide support to investigators and to prosecute human trafficking cases throughout the state of Utah. The prosecutor also assists with human trafficking training.
This position requires excellent written and oral advocacy skills and the ability to try both jury and bench trials of a complicated nature. Preference will be given to candidates with criminal litigation experience, an interest in criminal law, and experience in preparing for and trying complex criminal cases. The candidate must be a member in good standing with the Utah State Bar upon application. Travel is required as incumbent will need to represent the State in criminal trials and other legal proceedings throughout the State.
Due to budget restrictions, these positions may only be filled up to grade level III.* Assistant Attorney General I (0-2 years experience): $55.62/hour
