Administrative Assistant to the Head of School and Registrar
The administrative assistant provides administrative support to the school management team. The Assistant prepares correspondence, memos, and reports, fields incoming phone calls and emails, coordinates agendas and meetings, monitors the office, and maintains an effective filing system. The assistant works collaboratively within a team environment.
The ability to apply knowledge and understanding of educational materials to assist in the delivery of service to schools;
The ability to perform administrative and secretariat tasks required to support the admin team;
The ability to apply knowledge and proficiency in the use of spreadsheets, database software, word processing software, and the internet;
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills;
The ability to work effectively within a team environment;
Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills;
The ability to communicate effectively with parents, students, schools, and officials;
The ability to change roles and responsibilities.
Administrative Assistant to the Head of School, School Administration shall perform those tasks assigned by the administration. These tasks may vary from time to time with the evolution of St. John’s school and may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Provide administrative support to the administration and register;
Provide support for arranging and scheduling meetings, booking spaces, preparing agendas and meeting notifications;
Maintain an effective filing and retrieval system for department files and records;
Ordering and helping with food for staff and teachers, flowers, help with golf tournaments and graduations, etc:
Respond to inquiries;
6 months probationary period
Coordinating Aftercare and teacher substitution
Other duties as needed.
