- Ability to demonstrate and communicate a strong knowledge base of the content for 3rd and 4th grade students.
- Have the ability to demonstrate and communicate a strong knowledge of effective pedagogy that aligns with the Montessori program. (The Okemos Public Schools will train the selected candidate if they have not had been trained.)
- Ability to communicate and demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively and professionally with our faculty and administrative colleagues.
â— Facilitate learning for 3rd & 4th Grade students.
â— Create learning plans for all students that ensure grade-level learning is taking place.
â— Monitor progress for all students’ learning and developmental goals.
â— Facilitate Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports for the students in the classroom.
â— Participate in professional development.
â— Engage with parents, families, and community members.
