Sun Valley Ski & Ride School is hiring a seasonal full-time

Children’s Center Supervisor at Dollar Mountain. The Children’s Center Supervisor is an integral member of the Sun Valley Ski & Ride team that is responsible for the overall quality, consistency, and accountability of the Dollar Children’s Center operations and guest experience. This position will report to the Ski & Ride Director.


Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Uphold, promote and support the Ski & Ride School vision of fostering a community of passionate skiers and riders.
  • Lead the strategic direction of the Children�s Ski & Ride products, including daily group lesson products and the Terrain-based Learning activity area.
  • Manage and monitor all aspects of the children�s center�s daily indoor operation and supervise children�s center monitors, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
  • Manage the ordering and supply of daily kids' group lesson lunches.
  • Train and lead staff both indoors and on the snow regarding children�s check-in procedures, policies, and class splits. Work closely with the Leadership team on guest service initiatives in all the children�s areas. Ensure instructors are knowledgeable about child care.
  • Work with supervisors, lead instructors, and monitors to manage classes and the overall guest experience. Track class sizes and ratios for efficiency and effective resource use.
  • Create, implement, and oversee the daily set-up and take-down of the �Terrain Based Learning†area and other outside children�s areas.
  • Work with the training staff and leadership team on children's specific training both on-snow and indoors. Manage the preseason set-up and postseason take-down of the Children�s Ski & Ride school at Dollar Lodge.
  • Be an advocate for and uphold safety standards within the department and a liaison to parents for daily children�s lesson products.
  • Perform administrative duties that support daily payroll and personnel management. Assist in staff mid-year and end-of-year performance reviews. Support staff professional development.


Qualifications:


  • Supervisory experience, preferably in a children�s snow sports school
  • Ability to create and implement ideas for great youth experiences on snow
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, RTP and other instructor management tools
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills at all levels
  • Leadership skills with the ability to assess, motivate and train staff
  • Organizational and analytical skills
