Position Summary:
The JCC of Greater New Haven is seeking a certified, energetic, and creative Water Aerobics Instructor to lead engaging group classes in our indoor pool. This role is perfect for someone who loves building community through movement, brings a unique and motivating style, and is comfortable teaching large groups with varying fitness levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Instruct safe, fun, and effective water aerobics classes for adults and seniors.
- Customize routines to keep classes fresh, motivating, and inclusive.
- Monitor participant safety and provide modifications as needed.
- Collaborate with the Aquatics Director to support overall wellness programming.
Qualifications:
- Current water aerobics or group fitness certification required.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
- Prior experience leading water-based group fitness classes.
- Positive, creative, and engaging teaching style.
