Warehouse Operations Assistant needed for Habitat for Humanity of San Antonio, a large non-profit, single family home builder and social service provider. We are seeking a proficient, results-oriented candidate with excellent skills for this position. This position provides support to the Construction Warehouse Manager. The duties include, but are not limited to:


  • Pulling and packaging materials from inventory
  • Completing all necessary inventory paperwork and documentation in a timely manner
  • Staging materials for upcoming deliveries
  • Receiving materials from vendors
  • Loading and unloading materials on/from trucks and trailers
  • Sorting and storing inventory in correct locations inside the construction warehouse and on the construction job site
  • Pre-building and packaging assemblies for delivery
  • Delivering materials to job sites or other assigned locations
  • Maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the construction warehouse and job site
  • Leading Habitat homebuyers on daily assigned tasks in the construction warehouse
  • Prepare all required materials, tooling, and PPE for volunteer builds
  • Leading assigned volunteer home on the construction job site on Saturdays
  • Assisting with the maintenance of the construction fleet of trucks, trailers, and equipment
  • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned


Qualifications


  • Must pass a background check and drug screening
  • Must have and maintain a Texas driver�s license and a good driving record
  • Must have experience operating a forklift.
  • Must have experience driving a pickup truck and hauling a trailer
  • 1 year warehouse experience preferred but not required
  • 1 year construction experience preferred but not require
  • This position will work in a warehouse and on an active construction site so must have strong physical and mental capabilities including the ability to load and unload, lift and carry 50 lbs or more, must be able to stand, walk, squat, climb stairs and ladders, and be on your feet for extended periods of the day each and every day. Must have good manual dexterity with fine motor control of both hands and fingers along with other physical and mental abilities that are needed to effectively work on and traverse a large scale construction warehouse and site.


This is a full time, hourly position. Normal work schedule is 6:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., Tuesday - Saturday with occasional overtime.

Pay: $16.50 per hour


Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
