Warehouse Associate

Because of continuing growth, our Kansas City location is seeking to fill a full time position for candidates that enjoy working in distribution/warehouse operation. In this position you will support management, assist yard personnel, and build teamwork with a tight-knit group of employees. We are needing to add several warehouse/yard workers who will operate forklifts.

Forest Products Supply is a leading wholesale distributor in the Midwest. With over 500 employees across eight locations we distribute a broad range of building material products including lumber, plywood and decking. • Understand company vision and goals
  
• Perform housekeeping, daily maintenance and other duties as needed.
  
• Maintain accurate records and logs in accordance with company policies and safety standards.
  
• Coordinate with warehouse personnel on inbound/outbound shipments, will calls and other customer service issues.
  
• Interact with customers with a patient and positive attitude
  
• Pull and build loads in a safe and accurate manner.
  
• Safely load trucks with a wide range of building materials. Most items are not palletized.
  

• 1+ years related experience is preferred
  
• Strong planning, organization, communication, problem solving
  
• Good customer skills
  
• Detail oriented and ability to multitask
  
• Knowledge and experience in subjects of inventory control, material/stock handling/storage and/or building products

Salary: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
