We’re looking for a friendly, professional, and reliable part-time waiter/waitress to join our team at 1515 Bistro - a restaurant and art gallery located on Lincoln Boulevard, just south of the capitol building. Key responsibilities:
- Greet and seat customers in a warm and friendly manner.
- Take and serve food & beverage orders.
- Ensure outstanding customer service.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service.
- Present menus and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. portion sizes, ingredients, potential allergens.)
- Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware, and glassware.
- Polishing silverware and glassware.
- Ironing and folding linens to place on tables.
- Sweep and maintain tidiness of dining areas and patio.
- Deliver checks and collect payments.
- Carry dirty dishes and glasses to the kitchen for cleaning.
- Meet with kitchen staff to discuss daily specials and changes.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a waiter / waitress and/or proven experience in a customer service position.
- Proven experience with cash handling and/or POS system.
- Knowledge of cleaning products and methods.
- Excellent presentation skills and maintaining professional demeanor.
- Strong multitasking skills and ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Ability to work in a team environment and strong communication skills.
- Food safety training is a plus.
- Availability in evenings and/or Sunday-Monday for events is a plus.
- $11 to $13 per hour + tips
- 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Tuesday - Saturday
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 30 per week
