Works under the direct supervision of the department chair. Works closely with the department chair, faculty and staff within the department. Additional working relationships with faculty and staff within the School of Education and in other college departments.
Master’s degree in Inclusive Education, Special Education, or closely related field. Demonstrated study and knowledge of the field of inclusive education and disability studies; teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate level in variety of formats (e.g. face-to face, online, blended).
An earned doctorate in Special Education or a closely related field, or ABD; elementary or secondary school teaching certification and experience; knowledge of inclusive special education professional standards and inclusive practices in education; experience working collaboratively across diverse settings including in professional development schools and/or in partnerships with P-12 schools.
