Delaware Veterinary Dental Practice (DVDP) is a growing veterinary dental practice that launched in September 2024. We bring high-quality general practice dental care directly to veterinary hospitals-traveling with our equipment and team to deliver experienced services on-site. We travel throughout Delaware from North Wilmington to Dover, Delaware, and we are looking to expand into Southeast PA.

Position Overview


We’re seeking

experienced Veterinary Technicians or Assistants who are passionate about dentistry and thrive in a collaborative, flexible environment. This part-time position offers Monday through Thursday scheduling, but we’re open to hiring multiple individuals to share the caseload for the right candidates. Preference could be given to candidates located near specific hospitals to help reduce travel needs.


This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is motivated, detail-oriented, and excited about joining a fast-growing, rewarding practice.


Applicants need not be fully skilled in all aspects of veterinary dentistry, however all candidates need a minimum of 1 year of experience in veterinary anesthesia. Opportunities for continuing education and training available for the right candidate.


Key Responsibilities


  • Assist veterinarians during dental procedures, including Dental x-rays, Dental cleanings and scaling, Anesthesia induction and monitoring & Pre- and post-operative patient care
  • Travel to local veterinary hospitals (schedule provided in advance)
  • Set up and break down equipment daily at each location
  • Monitor vital signs and administer medications
  • Communicate clearly with clients about procedures, estimates, and patient care
  • Support and contribute to a safe, compassionate, and efficient work environment


Qualifications


  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a veterinary technician or assistant
  • Experience with veterinary anesthesia is required
  • Certification (CVT or RVT) is preferred, but not required
  • Strong understanding of animal care and veterinary anatomy
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and set up equipment in hospital environments
  • Self-motivated and capable of working both independently and with a team
