Vending Machine Technician

Job Summary:

The Vending Machine Technician and Installer is responsible for the installation, setup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of vending machines and related equipment. This position ensures machines are properly placed, fully operational, and meet all safety and functional standards. The role includes field work at customer sites, warehouse preparation, and support for both new and existing vending accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver, install, and set up vending machines, coolers, and related equipment at customer locations.
  
• Perform diagnostic assessments, repairs, and preventative maintenance on vending machines, bill validators, coin mechanisms, refrigeration units, and telemetry systems.
  
• Calibrate and configure machines to proper settings, pricing, and product selections.
  
• Ensure machines are leveled, clean, and fully operational upon installation or service completion.
  
• Respond to service calls promptly and document repairs and parts used.
  
• Maintain accurate service logs, installation forms, and customer sign-offs.
  
• Coordinate with route and warehouse teams to ensure machines are stocked and ready for deployment.
  
• Assist with equipment moves, removals, upgrades, and warehouse inventory when needed.
  
• Follow all company safety and cleanliness protocols during installation and repairs.
  
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and parts inventory in a clean and orderly manner.
  
• Communicate with customers professionally and ensure high service satisfaction.
  

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training preferred.
  
• 1-3 years of experience in vending, appliance repair, refrigeration, or related field.
  
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
  
• Familiarity with vending equipment brands (e.g., Crane, Dixie-Narco, AMS, Vendo) is a plus.
  
• Valid driver�s license with clean driving record equal to or greater than 5 years.
  
• Must be 23 years of age or older.
  
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, push/pull vending machines, and work with hand tools.
  
• Ability to work independently, prioritize service calls, and manage time efficiently.
  
• Must be comfortable using mobile service apps and service logs.
  
• Background in vending machine repair a plus
  
• Strong hand-eye coordination
  
• Ability to use power and hand tools
  
• Ability to use good judgement and problem solving skills
  
• Pass a pre-employment drug test and background investigation
  
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  

Work Environment:

• This position involves frequent driving and physical activity, including lifting, bending, and walking.
  
• Work is performed indoors and outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
  
• Must be comfortable working independently with limited supervision.
  

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive hourly wage starting at $18.50/hour or depending on level of experience.
