- Record various information on mobile electronic device and then transmit the data into the Maximo Production System.
- Inspect oil circuit breakers and oil circuit reclosers.
- Check regulators and battery chargers.
- May assist with testing, repairing and painting distribution transformers.
- Perform snow removal, plowing, and shoveling at transmission substations, distribution substations, and communication sites.
- Perform minor maintenance in substation.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years or more experience with substation equipment.
+ Preference may be given to those who have a minimum of two years of work or schooling in basic electricity.
- This position will report regularly in person to Duluth, MN
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.
- Regular and consistent attendance is an essential function of this position.
- In areas that require entering mines, Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) training may be required.
- This position may be subject to assessment of skills, job match and/or aptitude.
- The expected hourly compensation range for this position is $40.27 - $44.74. Compensation offered to the selected candidate will vary depending on relevant knowledge, skills, training, and experience.
