Traveling Deep Foundation (Caisson) Drill Rig Operator


We are looking for a reliable and knowledgeable foundation drill rig operator to join our growing team. To be successful, you should consistently follow health and safety regulations, be able to work in a team environment and be able to take instructions from site supervisors and office personnel. Typical projects consist of substation and transmission line foundation projects.


Drill Rig Operator Responsibilities:


  • Ensuring the drill rig is maintained and used in accordance with company health and safety regulations.
  • Cleaning, lubricating, and performing regular safety checks on equipment.
  • Ensuring equipment is properly positioned before turning it on and off
  • Ensure equipment is properly positioned before loading and unloading it.
  • Training new crew members in the safe operation of equipment.
  • Performing other construction duties as needed.
  • Observing the safe distribution of concrete and other materials.
  • Promptly reporting all faults to the Supervisor or Foreman.
  • Ensuring sites are kept clean and safe.
  • Attending meetings and refresher courses to ensure responsible equipment operation.
  • Identifying faults and troubleshooting equipment as required.

Requirements, Education and/or Experience:


  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Valid driver�s license
  • 2+ years Drill Rig experience
  • Relevant equipment license(s)
  • OSHA safety certification
  • Prior experience working on substation and transmission line projects.
  • Prior experience with temporary casing, polymer slurry drilling fluids and rock drilling.
  • Team player mentality
  • Maintain a positive attitude


Pay/Benefits


· Pay/wages will be discussed during the interview process and negotiated based on qualifications and experience

· Travel Required - per diem paid when travelling out of LSI's home state


Job Type: Full-time


Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour


Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week
