Grants Pass School District No. 7 is now accepting applications for the following position for the 2025-2026 school year:

Position: Bus Driver- Route 129

Hours: 5 hours per day

Calendar: 185 days per year (August-June)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
  
• Must have an excellent driving record.
  
• Valid Class B CDL driver�s license with �P†and �S†endorsements and no Air Brake restriction.
  
• ODE School Bus Driver Certificate or permit
  
• Must pass criminal history check.
  
• Ability to pass physical, drug, and alcohol tests.
  
• Ability to operate heavy duty vehicles in a safe and economical way.
  
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to get along well with students of all ages and their parents.
  
• Ability to learn routes, rules and procedures.
  
• Ability to work varying split shifts, cover AM and PM bus routes as well as short trips.
  
• Other transportation related duties as assigned.
  
• Bilingual and biliterate in Spanish preferred.
  
• Upon selection, employees will be required to pay for the following: $12.50 fingerprinting fee and $70 ODE fingerprinting processing fee.
  

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

• $22.26-$32.15 per hour (current 2024-2025 pay rates, 2025-2026 pay rates contingent on ratification and School Board approval). Dependent on approved accepted experience/education.
  
• Annual COLA pay increase (as negotiated with Oregon Association of Classified Employees)
  
• Annual step pay increase awarded to eligible employees
  
• 6 paid holidays per year
  
• 2 personal days per year
  
• 10 paid sick leave days per year
  
• Bereavement leave, as per bargaining agreement
  
• Continuing Education Funds, up to $1,000 per year
  
• Up to $1,522 per month district-paid contribution toward full-family medical, dental, and vision insurance
  
• $4,251 per year insurance opt-out stipend for employees who demonstrate other health insurance coverage under a qualifying employer sponsored group medical plan (more than 6-hour employees), $3,825.90 (4-6-hour employees)
  
• 6% employee paid contribution towards Oregon Public Employees Retirement System
  
• Longevity Service Stipend after 10 years of employment ($800-$1,400)
