Responsibilities


  • Use understanding of child development as the foundation of work with young children.
  • Effective pedagogical approaches include developmentally appropriate practices along with use curricula and PA early learning standards to create meaningful learning experiences for children.
  • Support mission and philosophy of the program.
  • Develop and maintain a respectful and collaborative relationships with families.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Conduct yourself as a member of the early childhood professional.
  • Support center staff and leadership in maintaining high-quality standards and achieve enrollment goals.
  • Be familiar with Keystone STARS standards, DHS regulations, and PA Early Learning Standards.
  • Responsible for classroom management and supervision of children at all times.
  • Responsible for the overall classroom management, leading a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
  • Collaborate with other educators


QUALIFICATIONS


Required: Minimum of a n AA/AS in ECE or AA/AS/BA/BS in related field with 18 credits in Early Childhood Education.


Preferred: 2 years of teaching in an educational setting


All applicants must present at the time of hire current PA child abuse, PA clearance, NSOR certificate and original FBI fingerprints along with completed health assessment and TB Test.


Salary: $19 - $21 per hour determined by experience
