Duties


The Teen Program Coordinator is responsible for planning, promoting, coordinating and implementing targeted teen programming at the West Street Clubhouse. This position will work closely with school and community partners to develop a collaborative youth program that meets the needs of youth in grades 8 - 12.


Essential Job Responsibilities


.Work under the direction of Boys & Girls Club of Bristol agency policies and procedures.


.Establishes a program setting that ensures the health and safety of members


.Plans programs and activities in five core program areas: Education & Career Development, Health & Life Skills, Character & Citizenship Development, Sports, Fitness & Recreation, and the Arts


.Develops program plans and facilitates age-appropriate activities that appeal to teens in grades 8-12


.Manages assigned program grants and reporting


.Maintains positive, productive relationships with the staff and community partners


.Recruit new and existing members to participate in club programming/teen center activities through community and school partnerships.


.Host weekly teen nights with special events that engage the needs of the local community


.Run an effective Keystone Club program


Education and Experience


.College Graduate desired (Education, Business, Psychology, Social Work)


.A minimum of 1-year of experience working with teens.


.Prior experience in youth development, preferably with Boys & Girls Clubs


.Solid working knowledge of youth development practices and guidance techniques, including experience working directly with youths
