We are seeking an experienced and professional

Team Lead to join our team at our vibrant Japanese restaurant. We’re looking for someone who can provide excellent service and support our front-of-house operations with professionalism and energy.

Hours: Full-time

Position: Team Lead

Responsibility

• Manage all Front-of-House (FOH) staff, including initial training, scheduling, and end-of-shift closeouts.
  
• Supervise FOH team members during service to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  
• Evaluate staff performance regularly, track working hours, and assist with compensation and bonus calculations.
  
• Handle unexpected situations with a calm and professional attitude, maintaining high standards of guest service.
  
• Communicate effectively with the management team, FOH staff, BOH (Back-of-House) staff, and other employees.
  
• Establish and maintain FOH standard operating procedures (SOPs) and workplace rules to improve efficiency and consistency.
  
• Provide ongoing training, coaching, and development opportunities to team members, with the goal of fostering long-term growth and leadership potential.
  

Compensation:

• Base salary: $3,800-$4,200 per month
  
• Performance-based bonuses, determined by overall business performance
  
• Total compensation is negotiable based on experience and individual performance
  

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of experience working in a full-service or dine-in restaurant. (Experience in fast food or limited-service settings does not meet this requirement.)
  
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
  
• Excellent communication skills to manage the FOH team, coordinate with the BOH team, and relay updates to the management team.
  
• Experience in teaching, coaching, or mentoring others in any field or industry.
  
• An open and proactive mindset toward learning new skills and improving processes.
  
• Basic computer proficiency, including working knowledge of Excel and Word (or similar tools).
  
• Familiarity with Japanese cuisine is a plus.
  
• Bilingual abilities are a plus (especially English and Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, or other commonly spoken languages in the area).
