Supported Employment Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate, motivated Supported Employment Specialist to join the team. In this role, you will assist individuals diagnosed with mental illness in finding and maintaining meaningful employment. This position requires travel within Lauderdale County and close collaboration with employees and providers. Starting pay is 27,500 per year then 30,000 per year after probationary period (usually 6 months).

• Work one-on-one with clients to assess their interests, strengths, and employment goals
  
• Identify and develop job opportunities by networking with local employers
  
• Support clients through the job search process, including resume building, applications, and interview preparation
  
• Provide on-site and ongoing support to clients once employed
  
• Collaborate with mental health professionals as part of a client-centered care team
  
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports for each client
  
• Travel locally to meet clients and employers (mileage reimbursed)
  

• Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a business-related field.
  
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and clean driving record
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  
• Compassion and patience when working with individuals managing mental health conditions
  

• Previous experience in mental health, vocational services, or job coaching
  
• Knowledge of community resources and the local job market
